The Beagle was considered to be the most popular dog during the 1950's in the United States. The Beagle first originated in the eleventh century when William the Conqueror was known for bringing the Talbot hound to Great Britain. The Talbot Hound was a scent hound, white in color that is thought to be an ancestor of the Beagle. The Talbot hound is now extinct. Another link to the evolution of the Beagle is the black and tan Irish Kerry Beagles. This type of dog was a small game hunter. There is great controversy close to dog kennel training. Most suppose that cages, kennels and crates are todays solution to rapid useful punishment. But not too much controversy as there exist about dog collars that choke a dog and give them electrical shocks. It is much better to let your dog learn about the kennel or crate on his own at first. Place his/her kennel or make near you and utilize some tasty treats just inside which will attract him to look in.

Basset Hound - Laid Back And Loving
The Basset Hound is a Medium/Large dog that typically weighs between 45-75 pounds. Their height averages between 11" to 15". It is long and low and their height/weight ratio makes their already short legs look even shorter. In fact, their name comes from the French word "bas" which means low.
